Astounding Stories #1 - January 1930 - Very first issue
A grail for any science fiction collector - the very first issue of Astounding Stories from January 1930. This is the pulp magazine that launched the careers of Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, and Frank Herbert. An extremely rare issue to find in any condition, these are not often available for sale.
Condition: Good-
Creasing to cover, tape to spine, chip out of right cover in middle, chip at top spine missing the "Jan" in January, back cover has ~2" tear to bottom a bit away from the spine (in last picture), chips along back cover and some wear and staining. See pictures for more detail.
* All items from Rare Pulps are sent in museum-grade bags with acid-free backing boards to ensure they are well protected from the elements. These are included at no additional cost, and we recommend keeping your pulp magazine stored this way to preserve them for future generations.
